Newel Post Fasteners

UBS developed the patented Sure-Tite™, which has become the most widely used newel post fastener among stair professionals. With the Sure-Tite™, a newel post can be installed securely in as little as ten minutes. It will not loosen over time and it can be installed directly over any finished floor. As a convenience to our customers, we package the kit with both oak and hemlock plugs. As an option you can order the #101-MO, which includes oak and maple plugs. Other species of plugs are also sold separately in limited quantities.

Our L-Bracket™ Newel Post Fasteners have been praised by industry professionals as being far superior to all others who have attempted to copy us. Our super heavy-duty extruded bracket design and our meticulously mitered trim help to really distinguish these kits. We currently stock these kits for all standard-size newel posts in more than ten wood species! Please call for availability of exotic wood species.

Extra Trim: For your convenience, we also make available two-foot sections of extra trim for these kits in most species (item #506).

This Newel Plate Fastener provides a simple method for installing posts under carpet, over concrete and over finished floors. We engineered the plate to a full 3/16" thick for optimum strength, and we included hardened screws for a trouble free installation.

Wood Trim Kit: For installation over finished floors, a #507 trim kit may be required (sold separately).
